Misk plays a live Monome set for Strong & Tough Audio showcase in LA’s renowned Airliner Club. The Club is no stranger to mangled beats, hosting events like Low End Theory – and even still – this was something new. Misk’s sets are far from wielding solely organic sounds; he stretches time and sound waves with his signature spectral morphing / re-sampling techniques. All of this performed live via the lite-brite-ish Monome and Max/MSP.

It’s been a while since we have put out some tunes, but we’ve been making so many that we haven’t even had the time to! We decided to put these two tracks out as a single, Misk’s tune, “The Club Song,” is a 140 bpm juke/footwork influenced club thrasher. My track, “Theme Pouch,” is a very weird, metallic roller with a huge sub bass to push yourself around with in the club. Let us know if you’re playing the tunes, we’ll blog you up!
